I'm assuming you're traveling down I-77... Charlotte has lots! Carowinds, the U.S. National Whitewater Center, & great breweries just to name a few. Columbia, SC has Riverbanks Zoo and Garden but it's nothing compared Columbus.

We just came back from Hilton Head. We stopped in Asheville, NC and went to the Biltmore Parkand Biltmore Estate. Another fun place to stop is in Spartanburg. We stopped at the Abbott Farms outlet for fresh peaches. Plenty of other food items there too. Have fun.

Try whitewater rafting on the New River just before you pass out of West Virginia! It's cheap and fun!
