Skiing near Geneva in March

I'm going to be staying in an apartment right in Geneva next March and I'd like to know what the closest, easiest skiing in the area is. I'm actually house/pet-sitting for a friend (I know--sweet gig!), so I can't really leave for more than just a day trip. Is there a way to do this? I won't have a car (although I guess I could rent one), so somewhere reachable by train would be best. Thanks!
