Where to sleep when you don't have much money?

Hi,

we are 6 students and we will go to Bruxelles for a weekend by the end of january. We don't have a lot of money and we want to spend two nights in Bruxelles, we want to stay downtown so we can go out and party. Where should we go? Thanks :)

Only one address for you, really, Hotel Meininger Meininger, check out the bars Halles Saint-Géry / Sint-Gorikshallen and afterwards to Fuse , if the mainstream house in a big club is your thing...

Hi Theo. I stayed in the Ibis , which is right across the street from the Grand Palace. The rooms were about $70 (American dollars) and were very small but the beds were big enough and they offered a modest breakfast. Since you're in a main area, you won't have to pay too much for transportation, though, and on the weekends there are goods and food markets directly outside the door of the hotel, so you can save and skip the pricey tourist restaurants in the area.

My favorite part: You're a few blocks away from a huge Tintin mural and the Tintin Museum where you can do a cool art walk during the day before you start drinking ;)
