October Activities in Boulder for Women Ages 40+

My mom and aunt are coming to visit me in Boulder, Colorado next week and I'm trying to brainstorm some activities to do with them. They like to be active but are not looking to do more of the adventurous activities that my boyfriend and I are used to. I was thinking of doing an easy hike or two, a brewery tour, and shopping on Pearl Street. Anyone have any other suggestions? I'm also open to driving within a half hour or so from Boulder.

Mt Sanitas just west of the Pearl Street area of Boulder offers a less adventurous hike that still offers a great view of the city - Dakota Ridge. Also, Chautauqua Park offers wonderful easy hikes though it tends to get a little busy. NCAR Trail is also a wonderful, off the beaten path for hiking.

East Boulder is full of breweries - Avery Brewing Company, Upslope Brewing Company, Wild Woods Brewery are all within a short drive of one another. Finish off a tour with great Mexican food Pica's Boulder Mexican Taqueria or Fate Brewing Company

Hi Marissa! Have you thought doing a tour at Celestial Seasonings? Not sure if that would interest you, but I remember that being a fun activity.

Outside of walking Pearl Street, you should take them along Boulder Creek path! Also, I'd make sure to drive up Baseline where you can enjoy a picnic in Chautauqua, and then continue and stop at one of the overlooks for beautiful views of Boulder.

    Have fun!

Thanks Jillian! I haven't been to Celestial Seasonings yet but that is a great idea (my mom loves tea!), and I'll definitely add the other activities to my list! · (1 likelikes)
