First time in Bogota -- what to do and what can't be missed?

Two 30 year old guys visiting Columbia for the first time.  In Bogota for 3 days and 3 nights.  Any recommendations on what to do and what can't be missed?

Thank you.

Save yourself some money and instead of going to Andrés D.C. check out Las Acacias, extremely great Colombian local food for half of the price.

To catch a great view of Bogota take a trip to La Calera a town just outside of Bogota. It is very relaxing and a lot of great things to do as well as have a great view of Bogota.

If you are into beer check out the many Bogotá Beer Company places. They are in most of the major malls as well as Calle 85 and other locations. Also check out Tap House for some more European style microbrews.

You can't miss the Monserrate hill, in that place you will have the best view of the city.

You have to eat in Andrés D.C. is an icon restaurant here in Bogota, you will find the typical dishes of Colombia.

Go to the historic center La Candelaria, Museo del Oro del Banco de la República, Cerro De Monserrate, also to the Zona Rosa to eat or have a drink.

Don't miss Gaira Café Cumbia House, it belongs to the singer Carlos Vives, and Andres Carne de Res for good food and a great time, there's one on the zona rosa.

Bogotá is an amazing city, full of friendly people, cool restaurants and bars. I will only mention the must see places that I consider are the most interesting and beautiful of the city.

Let me start with the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá. It is an underground roman catholic church built within the tunnels of a salt mine 200 meters underground. Amazing place!

Monserrate is a mountain located in the center of the Bogota city and rises 3,152 meters above the sea level. You can use the aerial tramway or a funicular to achieve the peak. In addition to the church, you can find upthere restaurants, souvenirs shops, etc. and of course an incredible view of the city.

Plaza de Bolívar located in dowtown Bogotá is a famous historial area of the city where you find many buildings such as the Catedral Primada de Colombia, El Palacio Liévano, Museo Botero and the famous TransMilenio: Museo del Oro.

For those who love to dance and eat well, there is a really nice and unique place: Andres Carne de Resthis place is very unique as it is decorated with second-hand items.

There are so many things to do and visit while in Bogotá. I hope this helps a bit!!!Andres Carne de ResAndres Carne de Res
