Things to do for a girls' weekend

What fun places are there to have dinner / go dancing / see the sights in Austin? It's 6 of us, late 20s, and we are staying in the heart of downtown. Friday night - Monday night. Thanks so much!

6th Street is the best place to go dancing and drinking and it's in downtown! Tons of bars, they shutdown the whole street and you can go bar hopping to find the one that fits you best! It's a blast!

Friday night y'all should check out 6th Street for bars with dancing like Shakespeare's Pub and Maggie Mae's. Saturday morning would be good for kayaking, paddle boarding, running, or biking Town Lake which is also known as Lady Bird Lake. Later you guys could go shopping at the unique vintage stores and trendy shops on South Congress such as Uncommon Objects & American Apparel and eat at this delicious hamburger joint called Hopdoddy. Then maybe a follow-up of dessert at Hey Cupcake. Kerbey Lane Café is great at anytime because it's 24/7, btw. Try the Kerbey Queso!

    1. You should definitely have dinner at Uchi Restaurant or Uchiko, one of the best japanese/sushi places in the world, honest! If you don´t feel like japanese my third favorite is Barley Swine

    2. The newest and hippest place to go bar hopping is Rainey St, you will have many options there but one of my favorites is Icenhauer's and Clive Bar it all depends on your taste but there´s plenty to choose from.

    3. Another must go place in Austin is Whole Foods Market, the store that started it all :) You can grab many things for lunch there, the Pizza is awesome and also the Fish Tacos, you can also choose the fresh fish of your choice and they will cook it however you like it.

    4. You should also go to Zilker Park and grab a Kayak at Zilker Park Boat Rentals if you feel like it.

Hope you have a great time in Austin, I love that city!

    Cheers!

    Rodrigo

Check out West 6th Street. Tons of bar and restaurants. Can get a bit crazy with college students but you'll have a good time.

Also check out The Ginger Man. More of a relaxed place with tons of beer options.
