go here. bottom line. I like to walk through Central Park and end up here for lunch in the cafe. After the walk up there you'll enjoy how cool it is. Although, i have walked all the way up there right after the 100 year storm when there was over 2 feet of snow on the ground... Central Park was amazing that day. I digress. I know that you're only staying in NYC for a week, but if it fits into your schedule, definitely spend at least a day there! And if you're lucky, there might just be a special exhibition :)

May be the best museum in the world... insane diversity. Their south pacific room with a bunch of carvings is awesome. I love the Met.

I think this is my favorite museum in the world. Such diversity... from paintings to archeological artifacts. I personally love the South Pacific room with carvings and masks and canoes, and the Egyptian stuff... but everything here is great. If you walk, swing by the Boat House in central park for a drink after. Good times.

This is the Arms and Armour wing of the Met and it's one of my favorite parts of the museum. While I hate the idea that all of this was used for the purpose of fighting, I always find it fascinating to look at.
