The bookstore here is as interesting as the museum, although it can be a zoo. Still worth a visit, though.

Agreed--go to the Seine side of the building and look at it from the back. The friezes are just astounding. Also, in the summer that pyramid can feel like being in a terrarium. I try to avoid the Louvre in the hotter months.

Buy tickets in a Metro station, then enter thru one of the side entrances - never a line! Don't get stuck in the ridonc line at the main pyramid - that's for suckers.
