This performing arts venue was conceived in the 1950s but wasn't actually built until the 1970s. In 2003 it won the Pritzker Prize, architecture's highest honor!

There are actually mutiple performing venues here. It's also one of the busiest venues in the world with over 1000 performances a year that are attended by over a 1 million people! I can't wait to be one of them!

The design here is called modern expressionist. It cost over 100 million dollars to build this Opera house! It is stunning!

The Opera House is also a first in mechanical engineering. It has an air conditioning system that uses the harbor water to cool the inside of the building! So cool! Couldn't resist the pun!

Seven million people visit this site each year, 300,000 of which take a guided tour. There also probably at least a few lost tourists who don't take the tour and think this is worst zoo they've ever been to.
