This ferry is free. It would be a good way of getting a good ( and free ) look at the Statue of Liberty as we go past it. Little point going to Liberty Island itself, as the Statue of Liberty will be closed for renovations when we're there.

only worth it if you want to see the statue of liberty...

such a great view of the statue but also of the new 9/11 buildings going up as well as the end of Manhattan. Parking was on 8 dollars for the day on the Staten Island side. We stayed in NJ.

Recommended.
