You have to go to Jardins de Trocadero to see the Eiffel tower from there, it's an amazing view and you will be able to take the typical "I'm holding the Eiffel tower" photo :) http://www.flickr.com...2721660027/ and all of its variations

its a good location and there are a lot of international students staying there so its fun. facilities and services aren't great but its a hostel, you get what you pay for

The French hate Americans and do not hesitate to show it. They are rude and try to cheat you whenever they can. The food is not as good as legend says and the city is dirty.

Paris is my favourite city in the world. In fact, it's kind of ridiculous just how obsessed with it I am. Obsessed enough to turn my room into a shrine. Obsessed enough to spend the last two years learning the French language. One day I'll move there. If only they could balance their budgets.

My second home (especially for work). I recommend the Pantheon Hotel near the Sorbonne, and a dinner at Chartier, a restaurant that takes you back to old Paris

If you like cheese, there was a great little place called Hebert which was a cheese only restaurant. I haven't been there in a decade but I loved it. Favorite museum was Rodin.
