It's housed in an old train station, so the building itself is amazing as well as the masterpieces it houses.

Better than the Louvre, in many people's opinion. The building is an old train station until a train plowed through the side of the building... true story.

This is another one not to miss! Not only is the collection incredible but there's a fabulous restaurant that is great for lunch. Make sure you go to the main restaurant, not the one called Campana.

just FYI: it's PACKED since it's been remodeled. do not go there on a tuesday: it's when the louvre is closed and it's a zoo. not. fun.

This is also a GREAT place to have lunch. They have a stunning museum that has a pretty reasonable buffet and the food is great!

Just a suggestion--this is a lot to cover in one day. The Tuileries won't take as long as something like the Catacombes or Pere-Lachaise and are right across the river. You might want to consider doing those in the same day.

This museum is so beautiful, we could only stay a couple hours because I started tearing up.

Lower on the totem pole of things to do. Mostly impressionist art, but a great section of Oriental architecture.

Don't forget the Left Bank/Latin Quarter...so nice there.

One of my favorite museums in the world. It's nice going there with a Museum Pass so you can avoid museum fatigue by taking breaks away from the museum and then go back for more.
