This can get a little creepy, but I guess everyone needs to go there at least once. Stay away from the street hustlers. :-)

i agree with your dad. Everyone has to check this off the list i guess, but it's SUPER touristy... if you only have one day i would check out some other stuff instead. It's comprable going to down to hollywood blvd. If you want sourdough, you can skip Fisherman's Wharf and just go to the Ferry Building...They have an AMAZING bread bakery inside i agree with your dad. Get a sourdough bread bowl with clam chowder. It's really touristy but if it's your first trip to SF...it's fun.

Fisherman's Wharf SF give "Tourist Trap" a good name. I always love hitting the Wharf for some sourdough and chowder when in San Francisco.

Boudin's sourdough bread bowl of chowder. Lact-ovo vegetarioan friendly option tomato bisque, although croutons seem redundant in a bread bowl, they are crispy delicious.

From an SF resident's view it's very touristy and most of the food and souvenirs are overpriced and poor quality. There's one restaurant in Fisherman's Wharf I can recommend though: Cioppino's on Jefferson St. :)

Though this place is most happenin' in the day time, my favorite hours to be here are actually between 10 PM and 8 AM, when all the stores are closed, all the people are gone, and I practically have the place to myself. I love taking late night walks here with friends and if I wake up early enough, running along the pier to see the water and sea Though this place is most happenin' in the day time, my favorite hours to be here are actually between 10 PM and 8 AM, when all the stores are closed, all the people are gone, and I practically have the place to myself.
