If you make it up to UCLA, this is worth a stop. reasonably priced ice cream sandwiches. A favorite in Westwood!

You're lucky you're visiting during off-peak season because the line is usually obscene! You shouldn't have any trouble going at any time during the day (but afternoons are always best).

Diddy Riese is a Los Angeles institution. Not only do they make the most amazing cookies, but they have fantastic ice cream to make ice cream sandwiches, and at really stellar prices. Ice cream sandwiches used to be just $1, but one inflation, they've hiked it up to... a whopping $1.50. You can also get a Diddy Dozen, which is a dozen of their Diddy Riese is a Los Angeles institution.
