This is a Milunic-Gehry design in the middle of neighborhood that is all Baroque or Art Noveau. They built the Dancing House to stand out and get attention. I think it worked.

When this building was first completed it was pretty controversial. That's pretty much settled down and it's now seen as work of art and is even featured on Czech gold coins.

this amazing structure sits on a piece of land with historical significance. This very spot was bombed by US forces in 1945 and nothing was built there until the this structure was built in the 1990s.

Another Frank Gehry design (no surprise) that was a collaboration with the architect Vlado Mulunik. I love the concept this, of creating a building meant NOT to fit in. When I look at it I think of my tight jeans I every once and a while try to squeeze into and well... it looks a lot like this.
