the coliseum was awesome to see in person. i suggest buying tickets online in advance if you would like to avoid the very long ticket buying line. we used the rick steves audio tour to learn about the most important coliseum facts.

There is a park nearby where you can play soccer with the Coliseum as the backdrop. Its amazing.

Look for the giant penis carved into the stone- it was graffiti from ancient times of the working girls on that side of the coliseum.
