stunningly gorgeous. depending on when you go the waterfalls off the mountains are quite different. the best time to go is in spring when the snow is just melting. by the end of summer it's like a low flow shower head.

Sadly, this volcano caused a lot of damage and even deaths when it erupted in 1991. Interestingly it's last major eruption before that was in the 1300s.
the nice thing about yosemite is that there are so many different levels of trails. there's the hardcore ones and then there's ones for people with strollers and who just want to take it easy. either way the views and scenery are incredible.
