This was the most rewarding experience we have ever had. a MUST MUST do. Please don't fall for those terrible excursions that have you view elephants doing tricks, etc. Patara rescues elephants and you spend the day actually caring for these incredible animals. You will not regret it.
If you've ever wanted to get really, really, really close to a crocodile, this is your chance. Participants pay about $55 for a 15 minute jaunt in the "Cage of Death" which is reportedly covered in teeth marks from Choppa the Crocodile.
