Pisa, Italy

Even though I've been to italy I missed the leaning tower of pisa. Hope to make it back here to see in person. It's about an hour from Florence.

rome was my favorite city. i liked it the most out of all of the places that i visited on my honeymoon.

climbed those 350 steps up to the Cupola and had a beautiful view of Roma!

Make sure you have the right shoe... the steps are a little tricky...

To avoid the longest lines ever , book online and pay your ticket to enter the Vatican .

Largest dome in the world. Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo too.

I climbed to the top of the dome-- endless steps in a spiral-- and used a disposable panoramic camera to take great shots over the city of Rome.

You must go to the top of the arc at night...so beautiful!

It is amazing to eat in the restaurant on the first level of the Eiffel Tower, but extremely pricey. Don't miss the light show every night!

It's cheaper and quicker to just walk up rather than wait in a long queue for the lift.

Make sure to walk over to the Ile-St. Louis which is connected to the island where Notre Dame is by a footbridge. Less tourists, better place to grab a bite or ice cream (see Berthillon) and a cool neighborhood.

Go in mid-morning and walk along the Seine, maybe ride a boat, and climb Notre Dame to say hi to gargoyles.

I used to live in Madrid (1972-1976)

It's been a long time... visited Madrid in 1999.

Food & Tapas market in Chueca neighborhood, upstair they have a nice roof terraze with restaurant. You can buy fresh fish in the market and they will prepare it in the restaurant on the rooftop! nice idea!

Tiny little place where you share your table with other people, homemade food, healty and delicous. Nice atmoshere

Love this city. A great place to start your adventure in Spain. I recommend checking out the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, it's the largest bullfighting arena is all of Spain. After a few days in Madrid it's great to take the train out to the outskirts and to small towns like Seville.

the fireworks display at Disneyland is crazy. They do it every night. If you can stay for it, it's worth it. It's like fourth of July every night. i wonder what they do on the Fourth of July....

There is a great USO if you are a Military family and have a long layover. They treat you like family, hot showers, food, movies, internet!
