Great day trip from Venice via a water taxi (vaporetto). Located near Torcello at the northern end of the lagoon, this town is known for its colorful houses & lace.
This is actually on the grounds of a winery and the colors here are meant to reflect a bottle of wine.If you look closely you can see wine on the top, and gold and silver which represent a wine bottle on the bottom.
Food & Tapas market in Chueca neighborhood, upstair they have a nice roof terraze with restaurant. You can buy fresh fish in the market and they will prepare it in the restaurant on the rooftop! nice idea!
Love this city. A great place to start your adventure in Spain. I recommend checking out the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, it's the largest bullfighting arena is all of Spain. After a few days in Madrid it's great to take the train out to the outskirts and to small towns like Seville.
Near the Brandenburger Tor you will see a Starbucks. From there the Free Berlin Tours take place. http://www.newberlintours.com/ They also offer a few others. I took that and the alternative Berlin tour which was great.
