We were there last January too. Gotta see Freemont Street. It is our favourite place to go. Hope you have a wonderful time there. This hotel is at the begiinning of the strip, so if you want to be further along, around the middle, I would say Treasure Island area.…see moresee less
If you're looking for a way to do Vegas on the cheap and still stay on the strip, than this is the place. If you're looking for the an Australian hunk show (Thunder From Down Under), than this is the place.
a fun and unique hotel! There are rooms in the pyramid with slanted windows. They also have a reasonably priced good buffet.great buffet. this place has a family vibe but always reminds me of bachelor parties where there's like 20 guys crammed into a room with slanted a fun and unique hotel! Look, I've got to be honest, I've never been to Egypt, but I've seen pictures. The Luxor looks a lot cooler than any of those ancient pyramids. And for the money, one of the best deals for a quality hotel that's on the strip.
if you're driving from the west coast, i highly recommend the roller coaster at the state line in Primm. I think it's at Whiskey Pete's. It's awesome and worth the stop.
I always go to TI when I'm in Vegas because they have my favorite game; casino war. Your card vs. the dealers...virtually impossible to make an incorrect play. So you don't have to bring your estranged autistic brother along to help you beat the odds.
All around my favorite hotel in Vegas. And they always have great shows. Saw Seinfeld here back in 07'. And there's a gigantic mall attached to it. definitely go on the ride on top of this tower! you drop down from the top, outside, and you get a great view of vegas! try it at night when the city really sparkles!
Not a spectacular hotel compared to the rest on the strip, but go up for the view. It's at the north end of the "newer" part but still a hike away so take a cab. The beach is the biggest draw. Do set some time aside, though, to stroll through town and check out the restaurants and shops. If you've just trained it in to San Diego, you can grab a cab or ferry over to the island.
Walk it, bike it, skate it... this is a fantastic beach. Don't be surprised by the low-flying helicopters. They're just returning to the nearby military base they call home.
Some of the best snorkeling in southern CA. You don't need any experience just get a snorkel mask and you will be shocked at how this little beach is filled with colorful, stunning fish! this is a must do for any visitor. They also have a room filled with full-scale models of dozens of famous sculptures from around the world, Michelangelo's David, Trajan's Column in Rome, etc. Definitely worth checking out.
Not sure if I added the right V&A. The one I'm recommending is the V&A Museum in S. Kensington. Just rediscovered the place on my last trip back to London -- a temple to human creativity and ingenuity -- from giant, ancient religious sculpture to contemporary fashion and jewellery.
