Make sure to walk over to the Ile-St. Louis which is connected to the island where Notre Dame is by a footbridge. Less tourists, better place to grab a bite or ice cream (see Berthillon) and a cool neighborhood.
This sign is perhaps the only thing I remember from my last trip to Vegas! Interestingly, this sign actually sits in the town of Paradise (vs. Las Vegas proper) and is also considered to be the official southern end of the Sunset Strip.
stunningly gorgeous. depending on when you go the waterfalls off the mountains are quite different. the best time to go is in spring when the snow is just melting. by the end of summer it's like a low flow shower head.
We went to the Empire State Building late at night (maybe 11 or 11:30). We walked down after we saw Jersey Boys. It was perfect because there were no lines....but you could see all the ropes for the queues, and they went on forever!!
In a city full of wondrous places, this is among its best attractions. While it's lovely just about any time of year it's incredibly special in the fall.
venice is an incredible city! You arrive by boat and can see the water washing up on the side of the city like waves coming up on the shore. the architecture is amazing, every hotel, restaurant and shop. the food is amazing here.
