beignets are délicieuse.

I still think of these beignets (mmmm, powdered sugar) fondly, even though it has been a few years since I've been at Cafe du Monde. I fell in love with the chicory coffee and it didn't even occur to me not to drink it even though it was well past midnight. Perfect combo. Food bliss.

You arrive by boat and can see the water washing up on the side of the city like waves coming up on the shore. the architecture is amazing, every hotel, restaurant and shop. the food is amazing here. This is a Milunic-Gehry design in the middle of neighborhood that is all Baroque or Art Noveau. They built the Dancing House to stand out and get attention. I think it worked.
