You used to be able to do some mild diving here as well at the falls, but I don't know if that is still available to the public. If it is, it is definitely worth the trip.
It's a clothing optional beach, but being in San Francisco weather, most people opt to wear clothes anyway. It's a lovely beach with a really nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Fabulous place and I don't even eat meat! The atmosphere here is incredible--loud and crowded and fun. All kinds of bizarre memorabilia on the walls, too!
Many states and cities claim the best BBQ (Texas, North Carolina, Kansas City, among others), and the subject is up for debate. you would think there would be tons of nice beaches in the keys. but, we saw mostly mangroves. going through islamorada felt like going through modesto, but a fishing town. we still loved the keys though.
There are a few public beaches in the Keys check out Anne's Beach, Sombrero Beach and Bahia Honda State Park. They won't be winning any awards or anything but they aren;t that bad.
For burgers and conch fritters, head over to Willy T’s—a floating bar and restaurant modeled after a Baltic trading vessel. Accessible only by boat, it’s the perfect mid-day spot for refreshments, soaking up rays, and taking an impromptu plunge into the sky blue waters.

Virgin Gorda's best kept secret (well, maybe not anymore). This sparsely populated stretch of land is the epitome of a deserted island—you can literally walk pristine white sand beaches for miles and not see another soul.
A fish shack and tiki bar that serves up amazing grilled lobster for a staggeringly small sum. Order a frosty drink (or two) during busy times—the staff really does run on island time, but then again, you should be, too.

One of the world's best resorts, the Bitter End Yacht Club is such a fun vacation spot for water lovers. Try snorkling, sailing or fishing. There are plenty of fun activities for the kids too!

Extraordinary boulders tower over white sand beaches, creating dramatic pools and arches. Hang on the beach, or climb the boulders over to the adjacent Devil's Bay. Bring your snorkel and flippers—there’s as much going on under the water as there is on the beach.
