So I'm thinking the original version of this glorious bridge made of hemp rope attached to the Douglas Firs might not have made me as comfortable as the current version that is wire cable anchored by 118 tons. Technology? Oh yes!

This was originally built in 1889! Just hope they've been doing a lot of maintenance on it all that time!

We're going to have a couple days in Vancouver. this looks like it might be worth a trip out of the city.
