I'm a little perturbed that Bankgkok calls itself the City of Angels because I thought that name was reserved for my town of Los Angeles! They definitely win with the whole 12 million people thing. Definitely a must see.
This castle has literally seen it all beginning with the Romans and then on to the Kings and Royals and that whole search for the Crown of Scotlands incident (don't ask). The most visited site in Scotland.
Stretching over some 400 km2, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. One of 2 World Heritage Sites in Cambodia!
Known as the City of Temples, Angkor Wat is the largest Hindu temple complex in the world. Great place to get your stair workout. Try this one a few times and you will be praying in no time just to get back down!
