This city is all about style and the locals are dressed to impress. The shopping in the boutique lined streets is famous. It's no wonder Florence is home to the likes of Gucci and Ferragamo.
This royal palace was actually originally a Moorish fort. It's a very popular tourist destination and the upper floors are still used as a residence for the royal family.
This plaza was built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition. It's a perfect example of the Renaissance Revival style in Spanish architecture. Scenes in Lawrence of Arabia were also filmed here.
At every turn in this gorgeous city is a hidden plaza or architecture showcasing Roman, Islamic, Gothic, Renaissance, or Baroque styles. This city is an architecture lovers paradise!
Puerto RIco was settled the Spanish in the early 1500s. Those conquistadors converted the city of San Juan into a military outpost. Parts of the old city of San Juan still have the walls the conquistadors built!
270 miles of beautiful white sand beaches make up Puerto Rico's coastline. There's also some excellent gambling here. The Ritz Carlton has a casino in the hotel.
The land between the ocean and the bay is called "The Strand" and it filled with great bars, clubs and restaurants. One of my favorite hotels in this area is the Bahia. It's right on the bay and five minute walk to the ocean. They on great deals on their website if you book ahead of time.
Great place to hear live music! They get local acts as well as big names! You can take the Amtrak shoreliner train here if you're coming from LA. The station is right across the street from the club!
This is an awesome hotel right on Waikiki beach. They have lounge chairs that you can put right in their infinity pool that overlooks the beach. Pure relaxation!
Somehow every time I've made this drive I've screwed up and ended up driving at night...and yet somehow it was still stunning. Not a ton of diversity in it (not like you'll be going through lots of towns or residential areas), but it's still gorgeous.

Perfect lunch spot for a day trip to Paradise Point. This is pretty north into Malibu so it's best to plan to stay a few hours. I highly recommend the Calamari here!
Great surfing and swimming spot. spot. There is also ample parking which is hard to find at other Malibu beaches. Zuma beach has also been used in many film/tv shoots. This is the spot where Larry Hagman finds the Jeannie bottle in the very first episode of "I Dream Of Jeannie!"
One of my favorite hikes in Malibu. The trail ends up at a little waterfall. It's also not a very difficult trail but give yourself about 2 hours as you'll probably want to stop and take photos!
Hands down some of the best seafood in Malibu. this is another place that can get really crowded on the weekend. One of the first owners of the this restaurant was professional wrestler Fat Jack McGurk!
Great lunch spot right across the street from the beach. They have a playground so if you have kids you can enjoy your lunch on some outside picnic tables while your kids play.
Right in the heart of Malibu is Pepperdine University. It's up on a hill overlooking Malibu and great spot to see a view of all of Malibu. The Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 was also shot here!
Recently re-modeled. The new rooms are very nice. Great location, this hotel is right on the water. Also, they have seasonal promotions on their website where you can get a good deal!
One of several great restaurants right on the water. A real celebrity hangout. The Travel Channel also named Moonshadows one of the sexiest bars in the country!
While in Malibu check out the Getty Villa. It overlooks the ocean right off of PCH and has a wonderful collection ancient Greek and Roman art and artifacts.
there are some photos that just bring you back and this one really does. i love barecelona, one of my favorite cities in the world. this pic captures all of its charm and mystic.
i was here when it was under british rule. very humid but a vibrate city with excellent shopping. i always get the feeling like if you're in hong kong you're doing something important.
Stopped here for a few hours on a cruise. The Caymans always remind me of the Grisham novel "The Firm" which has story elements set here. Definitely a relaxing place. There isn't too much to do here but lay by the beach which is sometimes just what you need. Hey, while your on the beach why not Stopped here for a few hours on a cruise. CA Adventure also has the ride called the Tower of Terror. It's a nice twist on those big drop rides and incorporates Rod Serling from the Twilight Zone is a really cool way!
Steve martin used to play the banjo right here. If you eat at the restaurant in New Orleans square they have a live jazz band that will entertain you while you eat and people watch!
