Jumping from a boat into the huge waves to get to hot springs beach was most memorable: "You can't do this in the US," said hubby thinking about safety standards.
I went to a wedding here and it was the perfect location! This hotel looks like it is on its own island. Water surrounds it on all sides. Gorgeous hotel.
IMO, kicked Legoland's ass. Thru the eyes of 3-year-olds (at the time), as well as a 42 year old. Legoland good, but Sea World better. Surprise of the visit: Pets Ahoy dog and cat show.
always a fun at sea world. amazing animals. and if you go, you pretty much should sit in the section where you get splashed. i mean, how dirty could the water really be? right?
Behind the AGO, half a block down is a really cool design school institute, called OCAD. It's in the shape of a shoebox mounted on 4 or 5 angled columns. Worth walking down to check out.
When I think to myself, where would Al Capone have gone on his vacation I think Varadero. A little gangster with my tranquility in Cuba sounds good to me.
excellent hotel. very relaxing. they have water aerobics here in the morning. also, the hills of puerto vallarta are great place to take a drive. excellent views.
beautiful hotel. romantic. it's amazing that it was the movie night of the iguana that put puerto vallarta on the map. before that it was really unknown to tourists.
just like this picture there were tons of pigeons. such a beautiful spot. there is a church right there you can go up to the bell tower and look down and see the entire square. great view.
The Duomo. When I would get lost walking home at night, I would get oriented by asking passers-by "Dove il Duomo?". That little bit of info always go me back on the right track. Should that have been: "Dove il Duomo è?"
Ahhh, this is to Florence what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. You really need to see it in person to appreciate it. It just glows at sunset. When I stayed there I made a point of looking at it from a little hill where I was staying every night as the sun went down. Just didn't look real.
If you see a lizard doing what looks like a push-up here, leave him alone. It's actually a mating ritual. Apparently the whole park is like a big lizard singles bar.
It took 33 years to complete this church which was inspired by a sighting of the Virgin Mary. It's one of the places in the world I'd most like to visit.
Traveled here while on a month long trip around Ecuador in 2010 with my university (ETSU). We decided to make the trip into Colombia specifically to see this church.
