Looks more like the Italian countryside than Brooklyn, doesn't it?!? This is actually the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and it's one of the best attractions in the city. Whatever you do, do not miss this. From wisteria to rose gardens to Japanese gardens, this place couldn't be more incredible.
I don't even want to think about the hours I've spent at this legendary bookstore. Every New Yorker in the world must own at least one book from here and if you go you'll see why. You can find stuff here you'll never find anywhere else. Bring a tissue--it's very, very dusty.
This restaurant is an absolute must. Super DL location (looks like a vintage shop from the outside), which it is, kind of... you briefly pass through it, and the restaurant is behind it. Few faves: kobe beef carpaccio, oven braised chicken meatballs w/ ricotta truffle (the name alone does not do it justice- they were outstanding), and the emerald gimlet. I do recommend having a reservation.…see moresee less
Good food, great wine choices and really fun ambiance, especially at the bar. This is a great choice for reasonably priced five-course lunch, and even better if you get the wine pairings.
I've had dinner here (while sitting at the bar, actually) and it was fabulous. Not nearly as fabulous as the drinks, though. The guys behind the bar here are serious mix masters and take a lot of pride in their drinks. Well worth a stop!
We were there last night! Man, we could have been right next to each other and not even known it. We had the peas and scallops as well - that was my favorite dish. Also had the roasted duck (which I thought was only ok) along with the thai curry noodles which were great. Also had the corn and We were there last night! Great little atmospheric local spot in the West Village. Great food, but well worth it even if you want to pop in for a drink. Then walk over to Fedora.

small, cool, hip...probably one of the cooler/hipper spots in that part of town. If you find yourself over that way, stop in for their signature cucumber gin and tonic.
Imperdível para quem gosta de fotografia e/ou tecnologia, a loja dos meus sonhos. Comprei câmera e computador lá, atendimento excelente. Só lembre de não ir aos sábados, pq eles fecham nesse dia.
If you want to go shopping, I heard this was better than H&M. Monica Vu likes it and Anghel swears by their temperature controlled clothing. (It's a Japanese store and Anghel has these long sleeves where his body temperature stays in which keeps him warm and he doesnt have to wear a lot of layers If you want to go shopping, I heard this was better than H&M. P.S. if you go i'll give you money to buy me something haha :]…see moresee less
Seven million people visit this site each year, 300,000 of which take a guided tour. There also probably at least a few lost tourists who don't take the tour and think this is worst zoo they've ever been to.
