The pantheon feels most special when you get to experience with few people around... There's no lines, but there are people here all the time so it's another one of the places that you might consider checking out early in the day...
My daughter and I serendipitously found ourselves at the top of the Spanish Steps the night Spain won the World Cup. There must have been 10,000 people there!
So if you're one of those people constantly asking what time it is (in spite of your cell phone and trusted Timex), you might want to consider living here. You'll even know where you are in the cosmos.
It's essentially just a mini Target, but still, I could spend hours here. They usually have supermarkets as well as clothing, cosmetics, etc. It's a great place to pick up incidentals.
Sounds weird, but this store has the best rooftop terrace with tremendous views of Paris; right next to Opera. And, there's food up there. Just ride the escalators all the way to the top.
