Every time I go to New Orleans (which admittedly hasn't been in several years) I stop here and get a cup of seafood gumbo, crusty bread and a glass of white wine.

I don't need fancy; just tasty!

They have a TON of variations of Gumbo. It's not too expensive, but not as fancy as some other places either.

Another one of my favorite things we did on our trip! They do demonstration classes for $30 a person and you get the food. Can't beat it for great entertainment and food.

Last time i was here saw dueling brass brands on one of the street corners. It's a "locals" area with lot's of live music venues.
