great place to shop and plenty of restaurants.

I love the north end. great place to walk. historic things to see and still some old neighborhood charms. In August catch a religious festival.

Southern Charm

Definitely take some time to walk around the mall. It's quite large, but I'd recommend heading over in the direction of the capitol, or going over to the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Memorial area.

Take some time to take a stroll on the mall

There's nothing like strolling around the Mall when you're in a pensive mood. With the White House to the north, the Capitol to the east, and the Supreme Court just beyond that, you are truly in the center of the western world. It's a very powerful feeling.

With the Gateway Arch's shiny metallicness, it's like a double light show when the sparks from the fireworks shine off of it.

Make sure to visit the tourist center below the Arch and travel to the top of the Arch.
