While nothing can replace the aura of the original Trader Vic's in Beverly Hills, at least the town has one again. Big difference between the Beverly Hilton and downtown but let's take what we can get. ;)

An amazing bit of Mid-Century history. I had the good fortune to be invited to a private film event here. Such an honor.

Yeah, this place is solid. The rooms are small, the art is hilarious, but the decor is pretty rad. You might even have a denim comforter! Best part is the restaurant, Tart, which is badass. Also, it's immediately across the street from The Grove and the Farmer's Market, which are touristy but fun.

This is one of my favorite spots to stay in LA, it's very cute. The restaurant is good too!

very silverlake hipster bar, lots of moustaches, very tasty drinks. nice ambience. i only go mid-week. weekends are busy, the wait is too long. in that case i'd say go across the street to silverlake lounge. or if you don't mind taking a 7 minute cab, i'd recommend harvard & stone.

Yes please! This place is the best for just walking around and the movie theater is gorgeous :) plus farmers market is right next door and they have a chipotle and an apple store :P

The Grove is awesome! They have a kosher hot dog stand and great shopping :)

Another uber romantic hot-spot. The Farmer's Market has a plethora of great food options and for relatively cheap. They also have karaoke night sometimes, too. Woot for free entertainment!

I first tried Buttermilk on Appetite for Life. They serve up a variety of delicious breakfast dishes. Might I recommend the red velvet pancakes?

Lots of fancy shops and a great place for dogs to hang out!
