They also have a room filled with full-scale models of dozens of famous sculptures from around the world, Michelangelo's David, Trajan's Column in Rome, etc. Definitely worth checking out.
Not sure if I added the right V&A. The one I'm recommending is the V&A Museum in S. Kensington. Just rediscovered the place on my last trip back to London -- a temple to human creativity and ingenuity -- from giant, ancient religious sculpture to contemporary fashion and jewellery. quando è bel tempo è stupendo fare una passeggiata da Westminster, attraversare il Westminster Bridge (quindi arrivi davanti al London Eye) e costeggiare tutto il Tamigi fino ad arrivare alla Tate Modern, visitarla (dal settimo piano vedi un panorama stupendo) poi attraversare il Millennium Bridge quando è bel tempo è stupendo fare una passeggiata da Westminster, attraversare il Westminster Bridge (quindi arrivi davanti al London Eye) e costeggiare tutto il Tamigi fino ad arrivare alla Tate Modern, visitarla (dal settimo piano vedi un panorama stupendo) poi attraversare il Millennium Bridge ed arrivare fino alla St Paul's Cathedral.…see moresee less
Kensington Gardens - I sat near an old guy who was feeding birds. He was wearing a hat and they kept jumping out of the hedge behind him to sit on his head and that hat never moved an inch LOL
LOVE the V & A! Going to hit it right away when I go this spring--really, really want to see the Cecil Beaton exhibit about the Queen! Great food in the restaurant as well as a lovely room in which to eat it by the way.
This is one of the most beautiful parts of London by far and where the whole city gathers to watch big events together on giant screens. A trip to London truly isn't complete without seeing it.
A and J have a picture of them in that platform. I wish the Port Authority retain the original site inside the station. This particular one is technically installed outside of the train station to look like one. Spent a whole day here and could have spent many more. It's not cheap and there's a lot to see so I would start early in the day. The crown jewels are just incredible and everything is displayed so well.
