Vegans take note: this adorable little ice cream shop is all vegan!

Known by locals as "BAM" this place produces some incredible shows, for instance Cate Blanchett in "A Streetcar Named Desire". I've seen some great things here and would highly recommend checking it out while you're in town.

Nice place to stay but we left some clothes behind, called an hour later and they were gone. Never got them back. Had the Warldorf Salad in the Bull & Bear restaurant

Been here many times for events, though I've never spent the night. Public areas are very nice and staff is very professional.

I swear that Doug and Bryan of Big Gay Ice Cream are having more fun than anyone I know in the food biz. These guys have a stellar product (soft serve ice cream and other homemade treats) and are two of the funniest people I've met in awhile. Heard so much about this place--must make a point of going!

Order the Captain Crunch flavored ice cream. It's to die for. Highly rated on Foodspotting.com too.

I've been to Washington, D.C. several tmes, but I've never been able to get inside the Whitehouse. One of these days!

If you have some connections do the West Wing tour over the East wing. Its more exclusive and you get to see the cool stuff!

This may be a little much with young kids, but it is a very interesting and fascinating museum for older kids and adults. You can put it on your wish list for a few years from now.
