Great place to chill out during the day, lovely to walk around especially when the weather is fine (summer or winter) but don't recommend going through it after dark.
I've probably spent more time waiting in line on opening weekend outside this theater than actually inside watching the movies. These old giant theaters (with upgraded picture/sound) are the best places to watch big blockbusters.
cool, hip spot. Food is so unique it's worth the experience. It's one of those places that i feel like i need to go there a dozen times before i can tell if i really like it or not because it's so unusual.
Heard two guys in a parking lot talking about this and had to ask them about it. Sure enough, it turns out they were right. No idea why they serve these like this but you have to admit, it's certainly a novel little idea.
Yes please! This place is the best for just walking around and the movie theater is gorgeous :) plus farmers market is right next door and they have a chipotle and an apple store :P
Another uber romantic hot-spot. The Farmer's Market has a plethora of great food options and for relatively cheap. They also have karaoke night sometimes, too. Woot for free entertainment!
Perfect opportunity to take a break from the bustling city and enjoy a nice, relaxing, and scenic drive, especially with a romantic partner, =]. My recommended route starts from the Skirball Center exit off the 405 (which turns into Mulholland) and taking Laurel Canyon Blvd down to Hollywood. If your heart's on the east coast but you're getting married on the west, there's no more glamorous or elegant place than Shutters. And who knows? You might even have some celebs end up at your wedding!
I'd recommend this over the Santa Monica Pier since it's probably going to be freezing and cloudy at this time of year. At the end of 3rd St. is the newly renovated open-air mall which is quite gorgeous and has a very nice food court with fancy schmancy restaurants at the top level.
