such an enchanting city...I was fortunate to live nearby for almost 3 months!

One of the best hikes I did - and I don't like hiking. Take the "Skeleton Gorge" route from Stellenbosch at the back of the mountain. Spectacular view, especially at sunset.

Loved it! Hope to go back someday!

I was there in 1973..

We hiked on the glacier. Crampons, ropes, helmets, everything. I was roped behind the cute Danish guide. I think he knew I was scared. He told me I could go closer to the crevasse, I politely declined. Beautiful place. A must see.

How incredible would it be to hike a glacier???
