I have a thing about museums stores because I think they're among the few places where you can pick up something totally unique. Nowhere is this more true than at the Design Museum.

This sign is perhaps the only thing I remember from my last trip to Vegas! Interestingly, this sign actually sits in the town of Paradise (vs. Las Vegas proper) and is also considered to be the official southern end of the Sunset Strip.

It's a relative newcomer to the NYC thrift shop scene but it's probably the best one in town. Carrying almost exclusively vintage items from clothing to furniture, this place prices everything very, very fairly, and you can pretty much always find a treasure here. That was a sad day.

The Cirque show "Iris" is amazing. All the wonders/theatrics of a terrific Cirque show; set against the classic glamorous hollywood back drop of 1940's (my interpretation)
