you must take the speed boat to this island-- the beaches are great and the town is super lively. We went for the full moon party which was definitely an experience, even if you aren't a party girl.
Not sure if it's still there but a restaurant at the base of Tokyo Tower had the best Chicken Katsu I've ever had. If you're near Tokyo Tower, look for Chicken Katsu at the restaurants nearby.
This is part of a stretch called the "Highway of Waterfalls". The name for this one translates to "Devil's Cauldron" which is enough to keep me from going to the edge!
One of my most favorite places. Unlike any other place we have been. Finding your way around takes alot of concetration, so my husband navigated while I people watched, shopped for glassware and bought a lace handkerchief for my daughter for her future wedding.
My daughter and I serendipitously found ourselves at the top of the Spanish Steps the night Spain won the World Cup. There must have been 10,000 people there!
Believe it or not, this is not lava. This is how the falls look for just a few minutes a day in late February and that's if and only if the timing is right. Provided there's been enough water and the light hits just right, these falls appear to virtually glow. Quite a show, eh?
