I actually booked a trip here last August and had to cancel it for work (wait, what!?) so this is right at the top of my wish list for the next stamp in my passport. And it makes me wonder, do I get two stamps in my passport since half of Istanbul is in Asia and the other half Europe???
this is the city of music. every block is a burgeoning country star. many of the country stars today started busking on the streets of nashville. every bar you walk by has music coming out of it. if you love country music this is your mecca.
if you love country music, nashville is the place for you! on nashville's main strip there are bars and restaurants leading down to the river that have a band or singers in every one of them! There are also great music fests happening, and concerts, especially in the summer.
This was one of the most impressive sights I've seen. You can walk right up to the edge (no railings) and look down towards the water crashing against the cliff. You're up so high, that the seagulls flying down by the water look like fruit flies.
the blarney castle is the famous one but if you drive the country side you will see many old castles that you can just jump out of your car and explore. much less crowded too.
From the looks of that little walkway you might want to focus on the pine trees and incredible mountains that were carved from glaciers. I think it is interesting that Mount Huangshan is depicted in many of the well-known artworks throughout China. Stay for the sunset, it is part of the draw.
kind've an unknown jewel in california. this quaint town has awesome food and really fun little downtown. and by unknown jewel i mean it's full of silicon valley millionaires. but still worth a weekend trip. i love it here.
