Only have a few days in Bangkok. What would you see/do?

If you go up to Chiang Mai, the night market is really fun and you can do the cheap cooking classes up there (I didn't do that, but heard they were good). The cheapest shopping is definitely in the north of Thailand so buy your souvenirs there. Beautiful, but have sad memories of a lady sitting inside holding her deceased child and mourning. A scene not easily forgetton. Make sure you climb up to see the gargoyles up close.
