I love a fellow rebellious type and the "Corks" are the ultimate scrappy locals. They consider Cork to be the real capital of Ireland and actually refer to themselves as The Rebels. Gotta go there.

This place has the largest sandwiches and some darn good chopped chicken liver. It’s my favorite hometown deli.

If you use a manual wheelchair, start at the top floor and coast down -- it's good times and much easier.

A wonderful building. Didn't enjoy the exhibition all that much, but the building itself kept me rather entertained.

Some places only get better with time and the Alamo and Downtown SA fit that bill, a birthplace of Texas Independance rich with the history of the stugle for Freedom and a vibrant and growing Downtown full of good food, cold drinks and friendly people !!

I can see how attacking soldiers would just slide right back down that hill! The rock this is on is actually an old volcano!

Cappadocia is super-high on my "Places I Want to Go" list and I definitely want to do this hike. It's called the Red Rose Valley.

Must visit but feel sorry for the neighbors. Wonder if the city gives them some type of financial stipend for putting up with tourist.

Mesa Verde National Park is a U.S. National Park created in 1906 by President Theodore Roosevelt in order to protect some of the best-preserved cliff dwellings in the world. Inscribed in 1978, it is one of the 21 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the United States.

I just went to Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico, and Mesa Verde looks even cooler.

A great experience

Old Hemmingway haunt and right around corner from city hall and main square where Chupinazo takes place during the running of the bulls.

I've run with the bulls, but I missed this spot. I guess that means I need to go back :)

Athens

Best time to go is early morning before the hordes arrive. Truly a mystical experience.

Classic Inca Trail - Camino de Inca - 4 days hiking trip including the Dead Woman's Pass at 15,000 feet before descending to Machu Picchu.
