Hold the phone--this was designed by Frank Gehry? Never knew that!

This was built in 1980 and can actually be rented if you're so inclined. It goes for somewhere in the neighborhood of $4,000/month.

Dying to see this next time I go home to NYC. I think it's one of his best.

Although there's a lean towards French cinema at this Paris museum programs and exhibits are still pretty liberally focused on other countries as well. By the way, if you guessed that this is a Gehry building, you're right.

I love this one--for some reason it looks like a bunch of boats that ran into each other. No windows, though!

The little lookout cabin here faces the ocean. As you can probably guess it was built in the mid-80s and is looking pretty dated.

This is actually on the grounds of a winery and the colors here are meant to reflect a bottle of wine.If you look closely you can see wine on the top, and gold and silver which represent a wine bottle on the bottom.

Absolutely love this--in person it just glows. For my money, this is Frank's most exciting work. Doesn't hurt that Dudamel is in charge here, either.

Somehow, with all my trips to Paris I've never seen the Cinematheque. They have a really extensive collection of films, documentaries, and etc., and I believe they hold premieres as well. Right now they have an exhibit of Tim Burton stuff and one of French movie posters.

This might be my least favorite Gehry "building" of all time, but then again, I hate the idea of a Parisian Disneyland (I lived there the year it opened--there were a bunch of strikes because of it). Hate everything about this 80s-looking thing.

Got to see Picasso Exhibit. Kids surprisingly enjoyed. Tuesdays at 6 - free entrance to museum.

I don't think this museum has ever put up an exhibit I didn't want to see. The big spiral thing is actually a stairwell.

I am so very sad I missed the Battlestar Galactica exhibit. :(

This has gotten a lot of flack over the years but I'm kind of into it. Also kind of cool that this museum combines music and science fiction. And what other museum hosts exhibits about both Bing Crosby and Queensryche.
