It's kind of heartbreaking how small this market has become but it's still always worth a trip. It used to cover a few blocks but then they built apartment buildings on the parking lots where the stands used to be. When I was a kid I actually once tripped over Andy Warhol there. Hyde Park - such a peaceful place even with all the people. Londoners use their parks a lot

memories of lazy afternoons, rowing down the Serpentine, poetry and picnics...great days!

Unless you are really running low on souvenirs emblazoned with male genitalia (and who isn't?) and/or non-descript leather bags, there's no reason to allow a lot of time here. It's a tourist trap and a dull one at that. Rub the nose of Il Porcellino for luck and kicks and be done with it.
