The chocolate here is great but quite honestly, I was so taken by the packaging and the overall look of the store I barely noticed. Great, great, place to pick up a really unique gift. I especially liked the store on Kings Road.
Love this place. I barely remember what the food tasted like but the atmosphere is fun without being annoying. Fabulous, fabulous people-watching even if it is a little trendy. If the dinner menu is too pricey check out their very reasonable breakfast.
I've heard such great things about this vintage market that I'm almost a little afraid to go--what if I buy something huge and have to have it shipped back??? Apparently they carry everything from furniture to jewelry and it's all vintage. I hope I can show some restraint.
If you've ever longed to hear the words "Vintage Department Store" this is your place. It runs more along the lines of vintage jeans than old YSL, but still it's fun.
I have a thing about museums stores because I think they're among the few places where you can pick up something totally unique. Nowhere is this more true than at the Design Museum.
One of my favorite stores in the world. Make sure to do a careful inspection of the outside as there are all kinds of incredible statues, bronzes, etc.
While the staff here was polite they seemed a little surprised by seeing a woman walk in, but no big deal. I had to see it since I'd heard so much about it. Prince William wore a Turnbull & Asser shirt in his engagement photos to Kate Middleton in 2010.
Madame Tussauds - the ultimate tourist attraction. I wish they had more of the behind-the-scenes stuff. That was more interesting to me than just looking at figures.
They also have a room filled with full-scale models of dozens of famous sculptures from around the world, Michelangelo's David, Trajan's Column in Rome, etc. Definitely worth checking out.
Not sure if I added the right V&A. The one I'm recommending is the V&A Museum in S. Kensington. Just rediscovered the place on my last trip back to London -- a temple to human creativity and ingenuity -- from giant, ancient religious sculpture to contemporary fashion and jewellery.
