This is one that I don't believe I've stopped at, but if you're having a casual drive around to Hilo, it may be a nice stop. It's just outside of Hilo.

Short hike near town to waterfall. Worth doing!

Be sure to go all the way out to the lighthouse...not just from the first viewing area!

I recommend we hit up the Diamond Head Lookout. There's a hike, but I think there's also just a general lookout trail that leads to the top of the crater and a lookout peak that has amazing views. fun to hear and watch the spouting horn, especially at sunset.

If staying in Poipu, a good day trip. Take the ridgeline trail for some great views over the Napali coast.

You used to be able to do some mild diving here as well at the falls, but I don't know if that is still available to the public. If it is, it is definitely worth the trip.

Go on a day when they host Open Houses... and go into some of these properties. Simply amazing!

This is a hike on the coast of Kauai. Starts on the north side of the island ad It is absolutely beautiful! It's about 11 miles and ends at a private beach. I highly suggest this!
