There was a small farmer's market there when I visited.

While crossing this street after a rain, I slipped and fell in front of oncoming traffic. (it's such a wide street!) Thank heaven the taxi was able to stop. And the pharmacist at a pharmacy nearby bandaged up my elbow. I had braced to be hit by a car and die. Big, busy place. We needed help to make our conecting flight to the other islands.

Definitely a hassle to deal with the Hollywood traffic and the tourist crap, but you've got to go at least once to see all the celebrity handprints.
