Cool feature is the security mechanism on the exhibits... they drop 7 stories into vault if any security breaches take place. agreed with peter. don't take this zoo for granted. it craps on our LA zoo, no joke. don't sleep on this if you haven't been. pay for the sky ride/bus tour, it's worth it -- see animals while you hop from one side of the park to the next.
Not a place to take the kids. I wouldn't say its cheesy... more gritty and cheesy. Go all the way to the back on the bottom floor and you'll feel like you're in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
This is one of the several water parks in the area. Not sure if you're up for water slides, etc. but apparently these places are supposed to be a lot of fun. We never made it over... Xel-Ha is another one that was recommended to me

I swear that Doug and Bryan of Big Gay Ice Cream are having more fun than anyone I know in the food biz. These guys have a stellar product (soft serve ice cream and other homemade treats) and are two of the funniest people I've met in awhile.
