Magnificent. It is located near the French Quarter with Hot Jazz at Le Cave. There is a cafe across from Notre Dame that is open 24 hours.

Plan your trip there carefully -- lots of hills, even if you're in good shape.

I am planning to visit in July.

I understand you are touring vineyards during the day, but if you haven't seen the masterpieces in the Uffizi you are missing out.

So to get here I decided to hump it. Got lost and walked up a mountain and descended into the back of the park. So tired but the view was gorgeous. I would get lost again if I could.

We'll come back for the medieval exhibit next time. A day is definitely not enough to explore this place.

Yes, but the dream can be a nightmare in August at 95 degrees and people cramming that beautiful hallway of art shoulder to shoulder. BY the way At that time of year once you get in, there s no way out so count on hours of human traffic jams and peering over shoulders to get a glimpse of art.

i love stopping in here everytime i can. I feel like i find something new every time. I heard there is a great spot for brunch in here. I'm all ears for new spots.

Take the Ferry between Ferry Building downtown and Sausalito. In Sausaltio you have Le Garage, Sushi Ran, Heath Ceramics. In Ferry Building there are ton of great restaurants and artisanal food stalls (meats, cheeses, breads, coffee, etc)

If you go there, look up Thomas Hawk. He works in the building and is a great photographer, and can show you around.

Can't wait to see this in person...

Versailles

Was there for Bastille Day and all of the fountains in the gardens were on! Gorgeous.

Need more time to explore next time we visit!

This is also a GREAT place to have lunch. They have a stunning museum that has a pretty reasonable buffet and the food is great!

This museum is so beautiful, we could only stay a couple hours because I started tearing up.

Go in mid-morning and walk along the Seine, maybe ride a boat, and climb Notre Dame to say hi to gargoyles.

been and (shame to say) drank cheap wine nearby, catched last metro train then.

Go just near by to Ile de la cite and enjoy the world famous sorbet from Berthillon

the grounds here are spectacular. Check with your hotel concierge before you head over though, to make sure the palace isn't closed in observance of one of the many holidays
