Whiteface Mountain hike - ~12 mi

This is my favorite kind of drive-seeing the fall foliage in New England. There are dozens of farms in this part of the country that have cider, pumpkins, and hay rides that are just so much fun. In fact, there's even a hotline to call to find out if the leaves have changed color yet.

Catch a show on 1st stop. The Lincoln Center is just a few blocks from my plastic surgery practice.

FREE. I really enjoyed frolicking about this zoo. It's a lot of walking. Be prepared.

This is a great zoo. Again, it's entirely free, has lots of animals and is newly renovated. Highly recommend this one for the Audrey.

I actually met President Carter, his wife, and daughter, just outside the Panda Bear exhibit - during the primaries before his election.

Even if you don't stay here, make sure to go for a rooftop sunset drink. Epic rooftop deck. Looks down on the White House, over to the Washington Memorial and generally over the city. used to be the venerable "Hotel Washington" before the W took over and chic-ed it out.
